Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology

This section will host presentations related to the design of the biological systems, ranging from genetic engineering (experiencing a breakthrough afforded by the advent of CRISPR-Cas) to the tissue and bioprocessing design. In which way in modern biology we can modulate fucntions of cells and tissues, and to enhance or alter the function of interest? What are the mechanisms which allow altering biocheical and cellular processes? From the biomedical perspective, the focus is on tissue engineering technologies. It is equally crucial to focus on the processes involved in cell fate and behaviour, on one side, and on developing of the medically relevant tissue healing and regeneration aspects, on the other.
